Green screen commercial shoot for Emergen-C. DP Jon Bregel tearing up the lighting scene and super chill guy to work with! Super clean green screen work, accomplished by some of the best G & E crew around, and of course NYLAHD’s camera package with a twist. 16.5-110mm Arri Zeiss Master Zoom. Probably the coolest thing I have ever touched (Sorry old coolest thing, Revolution Lens) The master zoom is a massive lens, almost 30lbs of visual perfection.
Last week Brendan Cochrane, JP Panetta and myself drove over to Indiana to shoot the video for Justin Bieber’s U Smile. It was a great time travelling, and an even greater time when we arrived! The performance was shot on white cyc with 2 REDs, one on a fisher the other on a jimmy jib. Great music video for the legendary Ron Isley. Great song, very smooth vocals. Director Clifton Bell, brings his A game as always, and had such a clean vision for the video, which was complimented by DP Matt Workman and Bruce Cole. Had some great Jib stuff on the first day followed by some exterior dolly shots the following day. I think this video is going to really flow with the song.
Music video production by Decon Creative Group. This was a really laid back shoot and fun to do, everyone was really nice and was trying to make the best video possible. Freddie Gibbs is a very cool and down to earth guy, and Director/DP Rob Gilbert is great at visualizing what he wants and conveying to to the crew. This shoot started in Manhattan at 4:45am and at lunch made a company move to Mattituck, which is two hours away!...
Another day of shooting for Kings of Bushwick. This time we weren’t in the studio but shooting in various parts of Brooklyn. It was sooo hot out, but the crew endured and worked through it! Again, many thanks to the great camera crew who took care of the gear in the heat.

The RED strikes again! This time on a green screen shoot for the upcoming short, Kings of Bushwick. Really great crew, everyone worked together really well. G & E was really on point and it’s fantastic seeing DP Clayton Combe in his element.
Awesome video shoot a couple nights ago. Shot on a rooftop lounge in Queens, New York. Everyone on this shoot was great, and I got to work with some old colleagues and new ones. Hopefully this crew will work together more frequently. Got to check out the RED MX sensor which was very cool. More videos like this comming soon! I have a few projects in the works that should be stellar!
Great shoot yesterday! It’s not often that you bump into someone at a bar and are able to work with them months later! This shoot was great, great crew, director/producer Danny Hastings is a great guy and great to work with. We had a long day which is definetly going to be well spent as this video is going to be awesome!
I had the opportunity to go out with NYLAHD’s Red package yet again, with all the new bells and whistles. This time I rolled out with a brand new set of 7 Red Pro Primes and a fresh Arri MB14 Mattebox and Arri FF-4 Follow focus. Boy are those Red Pro Primes amazing! Great lenses and we were able to get some really great shots! Special thanks to the camera crew for taking great care of the gear! Looking forward...
