Mixing work with play is always a good time, and I got to do just that early Thanksgiving week!  This spot was for the video game Yoostar 2, a game that takes a video of you acting out a scene of a popular movie, then puts your image into that scene of the movie.  Kind of like movie karoake.  Cinematographer Mike Simpson on the scene with a bunch of HMIs, and rocking out on a 5D with some Canon AF primes.  The more I use the Canon DSLR’s, the more I like them.  The image was clean and crisp, and the hard whites were popping.  I am doing some post work on a Canon 5D project, and I like how it looks, though I’m not a fan of CC with the whites, but overall, it looks pretty good.

This shoot went very well, and had some really amazing actors in it.  Not to mention we did some stuff in other languages which was pretty neat also!
